City Approves Sale Of Battle Lake Golf Course The City of Mart mayor said Monday the city council plans to sell Battle Lake Golf Course to a developer at a special Monday night council meeting.
Mayor Henry Witt told News 10 the city received a bid for purchase of the golf course but he would not disclose who the bidder is.
The city owns only half of the course and the remainder is privately owned, but the bidder has placed a $550,000 bid for the entire property, Witt said.

The handicap 22 Kampala golfer beat over 100 golfers to the top trophy in the one-day tournament that also acted as the Castle Lite Grand Mug of Mugs for the Entebbe Club members. It was Mutyaba's first win in Entebbe. Muhammad Jezan who was beaten by Mutyaba to the championship by a stroke settled for the overall net prize after carding 70nett while Alan Muhereza (HC5) was Group A winner with 72nett.
